Terms of Service

What this service is, what you may do with it, and what we are responsible for.

What this service is

Kood turns a written description into a working application: it generates source code, builds it, checks it, and - if you ask - publishes it at an address or exports it to you.

The applications you generate are yours. We claim no ownership of the code produced for you, and you may take it with you at any time: a project can be downloaded as a ZIP, pushed to your own GitHub account, or published to an address you control.

Your account

An account is required to generate anything, because every generation spends this service's own model credits. Signing in is through Google; we do not store a password for you.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for the projects and published applications it holds. Do not use the service to build or publish anything unlawful, deceptive, or intended to harm others, and do not attempt to reach another account's projects, credits or published sites.

A team account holds one balance, one set of seats and one set of publish slots for everyone in it. The person who created the team decides who is in it and what role they have; a viewer cannot spend credits or publish.

Credits and plans

A plan grants a monthly amount of credits. A generation spends credits in proportion to the work it really costs, measured by the model provider's own usage report rather than estimated.

The credit balance and the number of published applications your plan allows are enforced: a run with no credits is refused before it starts, and a publish past your plan's limit is refused with the plan and the count named. Other allowances a plan describes - the number of projects, storage, seats - are stated as the shape of the plan and may be enforced by the service as it develops.

Prices, what each plan includes and the current plan table are published on the pricing page at `/pricing`, and repeated inside the application. Both are generated from the one plan table a subscription is billed against, and that table is the authoritative list.

Payment and billing

Payments are processed by Paddle, who act as the merchant of record. That means Paddle is the seller for the transaction, issues the invoice, and handles value-added tax and similar taxes on our behalf. Your card details never reach this service.

A subscription renews automatically for the period you chose until you cancel it. You can cancel at any time from the billing screen or by writing to us; the plan stays active until the period you have already paid for ends.

Order-related questions, invoices and refund requests can be sent to the address at the bottom of this page. Our refund policy is a separate document and forms part of these terms.

The model service

Generation runs on a third-party model service. Your prompt, the files of the project you are working on, and the conversation of that project are sent to it so it can produce an answer. We do not send it anything else about you.

Model output can be wrong. The service checks a generated application before it shows it to you - it compiles it, opens it, uses it, runs its own tests and reviews the design - and it says what it checked and what it could not check. Those checks reduce risk; they do not remove it, and you are responsible for reviewing what you publish.

Availability and changes

The service is provided as it is. Features change, and a feature may be withdrawn; when something is removed, the release notes say so.

These terms may change. The date at the top of this page is the date they last changed, and a material change will be announced in the application.

Ending this agreement

You may stop using the service at any time; you can take your projects with you first, and the published applications you have taken down stop being served.

We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, or that is used to attack the service or another account. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will say why.

Who you are dealing with

Kood is operated by Rescape DOO.

Postal address: Sestara Cvijovic 8, 31300 Prijepolje, Serbia.

A subscription is sold by Paddle as the merchant of record, so the seller for the transaction is Paddle and not Rescape DOO; what that means for invoices, tax and refunds is described above and in the Refund Policy.
