How to build

An app for the warehouse, where the staff scan with the phone in their pocket

Type what you need and you get a small app for a phone: press Scan, point it at the label, and the item and its stock are on screen. No handheld terminal, nothing to install from a store.

What you type is what you would say out loud: "create an app for the warehouse so that employees can scan barcodes". What comes back has three screens - scan, item, stock - built for a phone held in one hand, because that is the device the person doing the work already carries.

Scanning is the first thing to try once it opens. Press Scan and the phone asks once whether the app may use the camera; say yes. From then on the camera fills the screen, and when a label is in the frame the app shows what it read and which item that is. The camera stops as soon as you leave that screen, so the phone is not filming in somebody's pocket.

The stock is the point, so it is stored with the app rather than in the browser tab. On the published address every phone sees the same list, so two people scanning at once both see the change; in the preview it works the same way against the preview's own store.

It also installs like an app. Open the published address on the phone, choose "Add to Home Screen", and it opens full screen with its own icon - which matters in a warehouse where the signal is poor and a browser tab is one swipe from being lost. With a weak signal it shows the last list it had and says so, instead of pretending to be fresh.

Two limits worth knowing before you plan around it. A torn or badly printed label can be misread, so the app asks the person to confirm the item before the stock changes - a wrong code is worse than no code. And a phone whose camera is refused, or has none, shows a plain message and a field for typing the code, not a black rectangle.

Test it before you trust it on the floor: scan three labels from your own shelf, change one quantity, then open the same app on a second phone and check that the number moved. Five minutes of that tells you more than any description of the app.

An AI agent in your own app - what to type, and what it will not do

Ask for an assistant in the same sentence as the app and you get a conversation screen that answers from your own material. The one thing it must never do is hold your provider key in the page, and it does not: the answers are bought through Kood.
